Lazy days
Are served on tussling green
Combed over by an aloof wind
Free, to effortlessly waft and wander
I harbor their memories
Framing each transient wonder
Stocked in my thoughts with care
And recalled at each harrowing low
Lazy days
Are to remain with me
Cool and collective as they always were
I prevail through hateful showers of scorn
Fallen, upon their shores preserved in teaming grace
I meet them
Traveling through the dead of night
Expanding as I reach
To join the grand spectacle that once was
But so suddenly
I am cruelly pried from memory
Damned to low places
Of squalor and contempt
And bitter melancholy
Seeps into me once more
Expanding effortlessly
As I give
And as I recede
