I wield
Hollow words and stale ramblings
Done away with flamboyant comforts
That shield my inner grizzly wreckage
The soul was depleted
And dispatched long ago
With no gifts to bear
For its earthly home
Lies cracked and brittle
The thoughts slow
And thunder no more
Taken by the gradual rusts of time
They unsheathe cruelty and malice
With a cold whim, festering in mind
They dull
They diminish
They delude
Squandering the ghosts of color and vitality
Broad strokes of grey
Coat my world in quiet madness
Bland in character
Tasteless and plain
As give
Becomes a faded and dying wish
