The contents of this book were inspired by dream i had two years ago. In the dream this strange woman who bore a resemblance to an unhealthy infatuation of mine was standing in the middle of an empty field. The sky was dark and overcast, and the only object that could be seen for miles was an old rickety Model- T truck. The woman in this dream had beautiful jet black hair, glistening dark brown eyes, and smooth olive skin. I approached her slowly with anxiousness billowing from my stomach. The first words that fled from her lips, as tears streamed down her cheeks were: “Take me with you wherever you go” and from that point I sprung awake and began to write. The poem i began to write was an act of desperation, an attempt at turning back time and reliving a tender moment in some small patch of nowhere. The poems and stories in this collection are further attempts at reverting back to my dreams. This is all but a desperate retelling of fever dreams.
