Sends warmth surging
Through my cavernous veins
They raid the despair
Nestled within my mind
Casting off defeat
For the clean refrain of promise
Waist deep in tranquility
Elation larks
From the roots of my being
Into the dark core of my angst
I arise
Fated to prevail
Destined to conquer
To lord over sorrows
They answer to me
And the wholehearted legion
In wait beneath my skin
Coiling their ranks
This time sprawls
Far beyond my weary eyes
Seemingly eternal
