Nerves
Are swallowed
With constant agony
The searing quiver
That ripples
Through silent bones
Upon dormant skin
The affliction scales
Upward bound
Toward bustling concern
Nerves
Are frayed
By a shadow of worry
The beads of unrest
The quiet scorn of thirst
Havoc travels
Swift and unswerving
Claiming the wreckage
Of a lumbering fool
Frail bones wither
Cascading
Freely
The awaiting free fall
Into midnight’s refuge
Tremors calm
As mayhem slips away
A dwindling echo
A skeletal horror
