All poor
Devoted fools

The heartfelt swarm
Of the young
Cradled in the folds
Of their smoldering wrath

At daybreak’s
Auburn and deathly toll
Where the primal reigns
Full
With mechanized fury

It bursts forth
On heaving
Metallic beasts

Relentless
In their thundering crawl
To feed on crimson valor

At home
Beneath the shrill
Murdering torrents
Of scalding iron
