I could not be bothered
From atop
This opulent refuge
Among the great spires
In a wavering solace
Far, from torment’s
Daily plume
I could not be bothered
In their primal embrace
Where former ills
All trailed away, forgotten
Far gone in awe
I swiftly recovered
In the twines
Of nature’s boundless fury
Beyond the dull
And dreary, pains of old
I reclaimed my all
Preserved
In a paradise lost
