The Weight of Lost Words

The Weight of Lost Words

We’re encircled
By half-hearted sorrows
Enclosed in half-truths
Forever lost, in deeds half-done

Farewell
To the true and enthused
Inbound for their solemn
And solitary ends

We’ll pine with rage
For the weight of their words
From the heart of our slums
From our pitiful sloth

When all in the world
Is fine and good
When all are revered
And cradled
By fear-ravaged minds
