In the horse-drawn morn
I stirred in full-hearted peace
Slowly
Steadily driven
Having drowned all former worlds
The curves of my road
Lent certainty and solace
Having vanquished the night
Cold villainy and scorn
I ascended so warm
In the clutches of truth
In the motions of dawn
So tranquil and slow
Old trials unfurled
And flowed to their rest
