Today
Was enormous and pure
The panoramic dream
I’ve harbored so long

How I swallowed my awe
Averted my eyes
And trekked for past joys
Extinguished
Far gone

As the full day narrowed
Siphoning my breath
I took to lost caverns
For the comforting
Call of despair
