To be Home Once Again

To be Home Once Again

I clawed the entire way
With a strange resolve
To a stillness far and wide

To reap the faults of the world
The highs and the lows
On the fringes of the vain
And complacent

Consumed
I tussled in newfound joy
In the primal
With a forebear’s wrath

I clawed for mine
For a sliver of solace
For an earthly vigor
And the faraway mantra of beasts

To be
Restored
And reclaimed
