In frozen hues
Silently, shuddering
Dissolved in black
Unwavering black
Giving way again
To a heartless dawn
Enfolded in grey
Its charitable light
My fragile urges
Are soon to shatter
To be swept along
By a gust of frail friends
For fairer skies
They sail
To their newborn joys
Toward elation
That peacefully
Awaits
