My enviable waltz with hope
Has sent me, soaring
Gliding and bursting with pride
Each day, is a royal feast
A glutenous new height achieved
In defiance of grief
And I fear
I’ll have had my fill too soon
And I’ll dive
Driven, by defeatist dreams
I fear
Diminishing blue skies
And the cruel autumn wind
That shall stifle this flight
