Heroes and Heroines

Heroes and Heroines

Many were appalled and afraid
When the tyrants swept in
And many more slipped away
From their regiments of fear

Some were driven from the day
Setting fires in the night
As the outcry of the silent,
For the bound and the gagged

Many more came along
For the torch-blazed fray
For the whole laboring world to know
A road, to consider for themselves
