Steamed
To the brink of madness
The mere urge to walk
Is singed away
The endless parting streams
Are the daily scourge
Of my sunbathed
And sweltering
Span of flesh
Heat encompasses
My sliver of earth
A devilish and heinous
Curse
I am urged to endure
The plight to brave
Through to gracious shadow
The haven
In sunlight’s demise
