A Poem That Says I’m An Iconoclast by Tony Haynes

It is a crazy mixed up world we live in

Redesigned from a kinder mono-past

Exclusive to the souls forgiven

And I’m an iconoclast

Locked out of the monolith

Lumped into a modern myth

You can see me with…

Different strands from fixed up pearls surviving

Out of whack in a pack where blonde-go-fast

Crabs & oysters are conniving

And I’m an iconoclast

Reined in where the blind can see

Eccentric means to be care free…

…An atypical spawned outcast

I’m an iconoclast

At home in this special bond

That you have made-to-last
