The Remedy at the Edge of a Storm

The Remedy at the Edge of a Storm

Lightning cracked my facade
As I wandered from shore;
Drawn into the green
To a remedy in the waves

They rolled from a tempest,
Battering my legs
And boiling the gulf
Turning nightmares to sand

I was drawn to the charms
Of the West Indies gale
Again and again
To their balmy “goodnight”
