The old and formidable rock
Twirls on and on
Never slowing to the cries
Of joy or distress
Despite the orange flames,
Crawling along
Its moss green skin
Despite the dins of battle
Boasting east and west
The formidable rock
Outlives our pained cries
Despite the oath’s we’ve sworn
Clawed deep into its hide
This forgiving old rock
Will heal and will thrive,
Spinning nameless and hollow
