The Brave Shades of Summers Past

The Brave Shades of Summers Past

Untied, we tread softly into midnight
Burned down to mere scraps
Of rushing moments well-spent

We relive our old tempests
What was true in our chests
Many seconds ago
Beneath nights full of embers

We are free to cascade
When the earth changes colors,
Untied, taking off
Into the brave shades of old
