No One to Blame, No One to Tell

No One to Blame, No One to Tell

There’s a jagged piece of me missing

And I have no one to blame

The many villains who once skulked through my head

Have turned to ash

~

Half asleep I wander

Through no-man’s land

Fearing where the rounds will fall

Is this a dream?

Is it time?

~

There’s a broken slab somewhere

Stranded out of my reach

Waiting to be whole

Forever fused to this form

~

To be haunted the same

Filled with starlit illusions

Starved for the same silence

For an empty sprawl of time
