Sunk
By the weight of affection
As tyrant tides clash
The tragic glow of heirlooms
Fade softy in the depths
–
I am no longer filled
With the spoils of war
Washed clean by the waves
Charging through the blue veil
–
Sunken by their trust
By their opulent dreams
The mad and welcoming cheers of kin
Fail to reach
–
I haul their royal bounty
To an underworld of wreckage
Where the lost diamonds gleam
For sharp eyes to reap
