A deep blue curtain is drawn
Over a fatherly light,
Shielding a cove
Of hoarded treasures
–
In their blue tinged darkness
These offerings sheen true,
For two secluded eyes
Red and sullen
–
In their murmuring shadows
That twine and tighten,
Scorned melodies erupt
Heaven-bound and bright
–
They cool to a whisper
And soar unknown,
Longing for a daydreamer’s
Softhearted glance
