The interwoven chorus of morning
Spills through my window,
One of mowers and song birds
And emergency sirens
–
I’m sewn back into the tapestry
By the gentle hands of first light,
Stitched back together
Within a worldwide fabric
–
I’m safe within the arms
Of this savory illusion,
Where all of my hungers are assuaged
At a crowded table
–
Within this fragrant dream
Enticing and sweet,
I move to the cool chorus
Of the wind-swept trees
