My formerly vacant soul
Now joyfully overflows,
Weighed down and unworthy
Oversweet and soft
–
A fever runs through my mind
And my veins burn hot
Crazed, dazed, and half-drunk
A wisp away from collapse
–
Familiar voices bloom
In the once vacant spaces
I’ve cleared through the years
To melt away from time
–
The once lonely spaces
Are now crowded and alight,
No longer the haunts
Of some silhouetted sorrow
