Uncouth and Unconcerned

Let the curls flee your scalp
Winding, interweaving down your back
Loose inhibitions
Uncouth and unconcerned!

Your outlook to follow suit
Roaming barefoot and bareback
Deep into the heart of freedom
Your endless travels, laying in wait
Longing, hungering
Shackled to your every whim

Cast them aside
Your every faulty burden
And tread among the faltering skies
Diamond eyed behind your new awakening
Surrender, surrender
Beneath the warm summer shower
Immerse yourself
Rear your head and dissolve

Collapse into ecstasy
When the soothing fall claims you
Then sprint for ages
Bound to no direction
Covet the erratic
The sudden and impulsive
Relinquish your body
And let emancipation take root

Let the curls flee your scalp
Winding, interweaving down your back
Loose inhibitions
Uncouth and unconcerned!
