She lingers by the mill
Eyes, bathed in grief
A hopeful grace,
Clasped in her right hand
This faint reminder
Of heroism, rages across the sea
Longing for re acquaintance
To bask in a lover’s unmatched tenderness
From beneath the misty ruin
He crept, with stalker’s intent
Brandishing final word
Sharp and precise
With the scope raised and positioned
And a single firm squeeze
Death, crackles loose into the breeze
Burrowing throw walls
Leaving in a blood drenched exit
Yet she lingers by the mill
Eyes, washed with forgiveness
Bound, only to a lover’s promise
On the move!
As pattering vengeance
Flings above
Crawling among the battered homesteads
Ducking and diving the war stricken avenues
Tainted silence is found
Nestled inside a mother’s attic
Clicking the bolts and chambers
In a feverish, blood starved reload
Yet,
Redemption, lingers by the mill
Eyes held shut by reverence
Hopeful, in swift valiant return
He raises the scope once again
Claiming legions of skulls
Chest cavities
All conquered with a single deep inhale
“Squeeze, don’t pull ” his fondest memories rang
As the bullet zips and plunges
Buried beneath flesh and bone
Rumbling unrest
Sends him dashing through the concrete labyrinth
Seeking refuge in hallow domiciles
Lingering for his next victim
His quivering index, waiting with lust
Yet, peace remains
Bound by her mill
Lips, pressed on her hallowed faith
Eyes lost in the horizon
Young and foolish
His prey, treads with ease
Fixated on the precious heirloom
Draped around his neck
Juvenile love, gleamed blissful in the height of day
A sudden snap
And cruel fate ushers him to rest
The hunter crept with malice
To claim his newest prize
Treading lightly to his barren prey
Snatching up the beaming light of his world
A grim spectacle, shrouded him with grief
As visions of lost romance, quickly swelled within
Before his repentance
Vendetta was too swift
Sped through his right eye
And left him cold among ruin
His rigid frame kept with the fallen
Lost and forgotten
In the deathly mists of warfare
And love does not remain
Kept by her mill
No longer bound,
By a promise shattered long ago
