Falling Silent

Image

The golden glow of dusk I reap
Dispels the worry that lingers deep
Harsh miles shall smooth and yield
The bounty of nightfall I’ll lovingly wield

“Faithfully yours” restores my soul
As daylight dwindles beloved and whole
I grasp for solace in her colorful array
While darkness ascends to devour my day

Time hungers for gilded dawns
For the glinting young that she may spawn
I hail the seams of light and living
Engrossed in thought and boundless forgiving

My worries can no longer answer dismay
For the mind and body would give
Buckle, tear and fray
