When the red waves came
I coiled and wept
My eyes set aflame
My body unkempt

They toppled the shore
Rife with greed and hunger
Carving the sands
As my thoughts fray and disband

Homeward I staggered
From the swelling jeers of madness
Disemboweled and slashed
Scarred from my helm and cruelly bashed

I pummel my earth
Relinquishing my strength
My restraint

I falter frayed from within
For I cannot recall
Nor where I am to begin
