They’ve all dispersed
Into the glittering infinite cosmos
Weightlessly twirling
Growing further and further from my reach
I clasp for the ailing quiet of slumber
Yearning to rise
And drift among them
For just once more
For one more brief sliver
Of spared lucid tranquility
The fear within me swells
Beneath the full weight
Of towering first light
At which i fervently inquire
Where have they gone?
What shall I conceive
In the hollow void of sleep?
There are no more
Pristine rivers to speak of
The triumphant swaying of tussling blue
Into the undying heart
Of the unsullied countryside
Shall lecture no more
I muse of moonlit exodus
To be pried from the humble ground
And every troublesome footstep
I’ve foolishly taken
To commune with ages
Of statuesque dreaming
Pure and sublime
In secluded eternity
Unspoiled and blissfully unseen
