From the wreckage
Exposed by glimmering first light
My thoughts all assemble
And my body takes flight
The smooth transition
Is a rare and cherished feat
As I glide through the high spark of day
Instilled by motivation
Purpose and resolve
Anguish falls away
To revel among the shadows
It’s faint and muttered jeering
Obscured by the crash of jubilation
This all transpires
Swift, cool and composed
Tying up my obscene faults and failings
So that I may drift unobstructed
And falter, upon the treasures I reap
Under the faultless reign of sleep
