A feeble student
To the merciless wrath of instinct
The untamed brutality
That bucks night and day
Troubled only
By the endless trot of wind
I am but a ripple against the skin
Of a mighty and vengeful serpent
Coiled around the earth, twice over
For the finer half of eternity
Stillness permeates
From the cool façade I brandish
Pooling into the greater tussle
Of orchestral, mayhem and toil
Some hours subside
With the gift of lonely wading
Cutting free to the tranquil coast
Through the flat seas
Mute with solemn empathy
