From withering conversations
Where I’ve gushed away my strength
Having purged my all
I sputter and withdraw
When words grow feeble
Bereft of emphasis
Scuttled by courage
And the iron valor of passion
Dwindle and disperse
Ripples throughout my skin
Boiling madly
With a sleepless murmur of angst
From the menacing blaze
Forgone in a surge of fear
I am finally free to exhale
In the endless bounty
Of humble solitude
