Of Paradise Lost

Image

Treasuring long ago
I sift through the grit of memory
To reclaim squandered panorama
From the taunting whirlpool of thoughts

Years are consigned
To this maddening loop
The infinite turn
My proud and precious refrain

For now I reside
Encaged by a faultless era
Confined to bone white sands
Where I slouch In remembrance
Where I concede to mourning

For the restless blue
Stagnant in chaos
Raging for all time
Kindled, in the gulch of my soul

I frolic endlessly
Preserved by your delusions
Bound to a young paradise
Torn from me, far too soon

Treasuring long ago
Shall be sweetest demise
Defiling me in secret
Unraveling my tired fabric
