A Skewered Conscience

Image

My tailored deceit
Sprawls through merciful night
Latched firm to my nerves
Grating and biting

Harbored dismay
Is my long suffered plight
The drawn road I’ve claimed
By way of heinous verse

In due time
The constant shall unravel
Shriveled by revelation
Of my sprawled,nefarious crimes

They’ll scale the walls
Of my ruined conscience
Like ever vengeful spiders
In flight for woven refuge

They’ll skewer and inch
To the brim of my agony
Until I topple exhausted
Deflated, by their quest

Delving deep here. I can relate. Your introspection is touching and sad and beautiful.
