Upon tarnished ground
Laden with mangled thoughts
Scrambled yearnings
Bellow far and wide
To lure me in
To dispatch all i am
Familiar turf subsides
Swallowed by a roving glimmer
Distorted fallacies expand
Latching firm
To an aimless wind
They spill their refrain
Of deafening mayhem
Whirling, harrowing torment
To lure my reluctant stride
Sprawled hope recedes
As I helplessly withdraw
Taking to the paths
From which I came
Consigned, to bleak obscurity
The cacophony swells
And lasso’s the horizon
Pulling my young trove
Into a murky and cold abyss
