Tame recollections wither
As kin surge forth
In their uncaring currents
Hunger consumes
Each passing worry
The leeches of the mind
That hurl my earth toward panic
Dwindling eyes
Perceive uprooted harvests
Taken savagely
By the steamroll
Of common blood
On they go
Beyond my cowardly reach
Where I foolishly deplore
Where I’ve barred myself
From treading
