Stouthearted Reveries

Image

I defer to brazen hopes
For the dormant folds
Of stouthearted reveries

The unseen niche
That cradles my faulted form
The maimed and scorched flesh
I champion as home

In a domicile
Of swerving dreams
Without form and restless
Roving uncontrolled

They gain their stature
Finding balance upon the horizon
As lumbering, staggering hope
Towering Goliaths
That grow with passing age

I am pried away
Tired and meek
Pulled to the whim
Of the nocturnal void

Proudly compromised
I sway with greatness
Bereft of limbs
Unshackled
Uncoiled

I really enjoyed your poem, it’s really good. If you could the two or three that I have posted and tell me what you think, I’d more then appreciate it! Btw: keep posting more poetry, you have a really good voice!
