Far from land
I sway in bliss
Consumed by a world
Rife with inner distress
Wonderfully marooned
Is a floundering falsehood
Dangling from my lips
Reluctant to fall
I began fulfilled
Brimmed with feigned confidence
Swelled with plastic valor
In hopes of tomorrow’s bounty
In time they all thinned
Culled by quiet living
Consumed by the drone
Of my boxed in reality
In time they thinned
As solitude enlarged
My horizons left ravaged
By watery desolation
Wonderfully marooned
I am pegged a fool once more
Christened as such
By my own racing delusions
