Even if the sun flares
In a deathly culmination
A fire-bred finale
I’ll treasure the life that was
The horizon cannot hinder
Nor detour my faithful treads
Despite the scorn that looms
The havoc we cannot evade
Chaos does not erode
The satisfaction I withhold
Every worthwhile endeavor
Consoles me
As time disbands
When the seas
Can froth no more
And a once caring breeze
No longer yields ease
That all remains
At a greater distance
Far from the length
Of my restless desires
